Raynard Tissink is never challenged after overcoming
a small deficit to Glen Gore out of the swim.
Dominique Donner leads the women's race out the
water and never looks back.

Almost a repeat of the Mauritius race as Gore
leads out the water, but is overtaken by Tissink
on the bike leg. Tissink cruises to win ahead
of Sacco. Donner wins from the front after a dominant
swim leg. Men:

3rd leg - Hobie
Beach, Port Elizabeth
Tissink makes it three in a row after exiting
the swim with a lead bunch and pulling clear on
the bike. Boonstra shows a glimpse of his potential
with a solid run leg and second place. Donner
also does the hat trick to win the women's race
at a canter.

4th leg
- Maselspoort, Bloemfontein
Gore and the Storm brothers, Carl and Brad, lead
out the swim, but at the 12km mark Tissink cycles
his way to the front. Only Brad Storm is able
to hang on, but is outrun on the 5km leg. Donner
wins again, although former series winner, Kim
Carter, is a little closer.

5th leg - Germiston
Lake
With over 1000 individual entries and 300 relay
teams, the Germiston event is one of the biggest
triathlon fields ever seen in South Africa. KwaZulu-Natal's
Brad Storm is the surprise package holding onto
Tissink during the bike and leading the run for
1.5km. Donner survives a pounding from Louise
Murphy in the swim to win five out of five.

6th leg
- Gordon's Bay
Eksteen finally gets the better of Tissink after
a superb race up front. The two enter the second
transition together but Eksteen pulls clear with
just 1500m to go on the run. Donner remains unbeaten
in the women's race.

7th leg - Vanderbijlpark
With most of the leading contenders deciding to
ignore the no drafting rule, Gore is able to stay
in the lead pack and then decide the race over
his strong run leg. Donner's victory margin is
its smallest yet as Caroline Koll finishes just
40 seconds adrift.

Dam, Pietermaritzburg
Olympic hero Conrad Stoltz makes his only appearance
in the series, but is forced to surge clear in
the final kilometre of the run to beat Brad Storm.
Rowena Curr wins the women's race in Donner's

The Final
- Roodeplaat Dam
With his law degree exams over, Lieuwe Boonstra's
extra running training pays off as he runs away
from Gore, Eksteen and Tissink. It secures him
the SA Sprint title as well, although Tissink's
third place ensures him the series win. Donner
makes it a clean sweep of wins to secure the women's
title.
